I’m Reverend Isaac Murray, an ordained non-denominational minister based in Salem, Oregon. Evergreen Life Ceremonies grew from a simple belief: the important moments in our lives deserve to be treated with care, dignity, and meaning.
A Life of Service
Before entering ministry, I served in the United States Army as a Combat Medic, worked in public service as a Firefighter and Paramedic, and later in emergency medicine. Those experiences placed me alongside people during moments of celebration, uncertainty, grief, fear, and profound change.
They taught me the importance of staying calm when life feels overwhelming, listening before speaking, and treating every person with dignity. Those lessons continue to shape the way I approach ministry and every ceremony I am trusted to lead.
Faith & Ministry
I was baptized Roman Catholic and served for many years under Reverend Robert J. Fox at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Throughout my life, faith has remained an important part of who I am, even as my understanding of ministry has grown and changed. In recent years, I felt increasingly called back toward theological study, service, and the role ministry can play in helping people through meaningful moments in life.
That journey ultimately led to my ordination through the Universal Life Church Monastery, headquartered in Seattle, Washington. My ordination reflects a commitment to serving people with dignity, professionalism, and respect across life’s most meaningful moments.
That calling also led me to found Evergreen Life Ceremonies as a professional, service-centered ministry for individuals, couples, families, and organizations throughout Oregon.
Today, I serve couples, individuals, and families through weddings, elopements, vow renewals, baptisms, memorials, celebrations of life, blessings, pastoral visits, and other personal ceremonies. Evergreen also provides mobile and public notary services by appointment. I also welcome opportunities to serve at corporate and community events where a minister, speaker, invocation, blessing, or ceremonial presence would be meaningful.
I do not believe meaningful ceremonies should feel copied from a script. Some people want something deeply rooted in Christian tradition. Others prefer something broadly spiritual, non-denominational, secular, contemporary, simple, intimate, or completely personalized. My role is to listen, understand what matters to you, and help create a ceremony that genuinely reflects the people at the center of it.
Every couple deserves a ceremony that reflects their story, beliefs, traditions, personalities, and the atmosphere they want to create. My approach is warm, prepared, professional, and centered on the people making the commitment.
During times of loss, my role is to provide a calm and compassionate presence while helping families honor a life with dignity. Services may include prayer, Scripture, personal stories, family traditions, or a secular approach.
Evergreen also offers baptisms, blessings, pastoral visits, prayer services, and other meaningful ceremonies for individuals and families, thoughtfully shaped around the beliefs and wishes of those involved.
I welcome opportunities to serve at corporate and community events where a minister, speaker, invocation, blessing, or ceremonial presence is appropriate, including programs centered on leadership, service, gratitude, legacy, remembrance, transition, and faith.
Evergreen provides professional notary services by appointment, including mobile service throughout the Salem area for clients who need the convenience of a notary coming to them.

Whether I am standing beside a couple as they make a lifelong promise, helping a family honor someone they have lost, welcoming a child through baptism, or speaking to a room gathered around leadership, service, or remembrance, I approach the responsibility the same way: be prepared, be present, and treat the moment with the respect it deserves.
